- Latvian citizenship by marriage: Applicants are required to be married to a Latvian citizen and have resided in Latvia for ten years (5 years temporary residency permit and 5 years permanent residency permit).
- Latvian citizenship by naturalization: You can obtain citizenship in Latvia by living in Latvia with a temporary residency for five years, then obtaining a permanent residency for a further five years. There are strict stay requirements, as you must show that Latvia is your new home country.
- Latvian Residency by Investment: If you don’t have familial ties to Latvia, the Residency by Investment program is an ideal pathway to obtain a temporary residence permit in Latvia. Once you have this for five years and a further five years with a permanent residency, you may qualify for Latvian citizenship.
