The Thailand Privilege Program is a membership-based immigration program that offers long-term stay rights in Thailand through a multiple-entry Privilege Entry (PE) Visa. Unlike standard residency visas, it allows stays of up to one year per entry and is renewable annually, without a requirement visit Thailand.

Members enjoy exclusive perks, including airport fast-track services, concierge assistance with government paperwork, healthcare discounts, and additional benefits, including access to luxury experiences across Thailand.

The program operates across five membership tiers:

  • Bronze
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Reserve
  • Reserve (invite only)

Taking over from the previous Thailand Elite Visa, the cost starts from 650,000 THB (~$21,000), and membership cards are valid for 5 to 20 years. The Reserve membership is an invite-only 20-year card designed for ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Each membership card beyond the bronze package offers between 20 to 120 points annually, which can be used to redeem luxury lifestyle perks, including stays at five-star hotels, spa treatments, golf, airport transfers, and health screenings. The Privilege Visa program also appeals to international families, allowing applicants to include their spouse, children, and parents with an additional donation.

Thailand Privilege Visa Application Process

Applying for the Thailand Privilege Visa is straightforward. Most steps are completed online through authorized agents (listed by the Thai Embassy or Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd.), and only one stage—the visa stamping—is handled in person.

  1. Submit your application: Complete the Thailand Privilege membership application form and upload the required documents, including a passport photo, a recent photo, a PDPA consent form, and a signed background declaration.
  2. Background screening: Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. and the Thai Immigration Bureau conduct standard eligibility and security checks.
  3. Receive approval and payment instructions: If your application is approved, you’ll receive an Approval Letter along with payment instructions for the one-time, non-refundable membership fee.
  4. Pay the membership fee: Transfer funds in Thai Baht (THB) to the official Thailand Privilege account within the 30-day payment window.
  5. Receive your Welcome Package: Once payment is confirmed, you’ll receive your official Welcome Letter, membership ID, and digital or physical membership card.
  6. Visa issuance (the only in-person step): The visa affixation happens in person. You can choose one of three official options:
    1. At a Thai Embassy or Consulate abroad, before traveling
    2. At the Immigration Bureau in Bangkok, if you are already in Thailand
    3. On arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok or another international airport in Thailand, authorized officers can stamp the visa in your passport.

After the visa is issued, you can enter Thailand at any time and begin enjoying your membership privileges immediately.

Processing time: The typical turnaround for application review and approval is four to six weeks from submission.

Immigration Rules and Compliance

Thailand Privilege members must follow the same immigration procedures as all foreign visitors:

  • If a Thai Privilege Visa holder stays in the country continuously for 90 days, they must submit a report to the Thai immigration bureau every 90 days to confirm their residential address.
  • One-year stay per entry can be extended locally for THB 1,900.
  • Notify Thai immigration when changing residence.
  • No right to work or operate a Thai business under this visa category.

Though the visa doesn’t lead to permanent residency or Thai citizenship, there is no minimum physical presence required to maintain membership, and an Elite personal liaison can assist with filing.
