Per the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, you can acquire citizenship through adoption, birth, naturalization, or registration.

Adoption

Minors under the age of 18 who were legally adopted by a national can obtain citizenship.

Birth

You are granted citizenship if:

  • You were born within the territory of Saint Kitts and Nevis (with a few exceptions)

Naturalization

An adult can be naturalized if they have resided in the territory the 12 months prior to submitting an application, are of good character, and intend to reside in Saint Kitts and Nevis. How to Apply Saint Kitts and Nevis Passport

When completing your passport application form, please note the following guidance:

  • Sections 1, 2, and 6 must be completed by all applicants
  • Sections 3 and 4 must be completed as applicable
  • Section 7 must be completed by the parent or legal guardian of an applicant younger than 16
  • Section 8 must be completed by an applicant aged 16 and older
