The passport can be obtained by citizens by birth, descent, or naturalization. Passport types
The Antigua and Barbuda Passport Office issues passports to citizens, which is located on Queen Elizabeth Highway in St John’s, Antigua. The office produces the four types of Antigua and Barbuda passports:

- Minor passport: Issued to citizens under the age of 16.
- Diplomatic passports: Issued to Ministers of Government and other officials representing Antigua and Barbuda in diplomatic and international affairs.

An Antigua Caribbean passport for citizens 16 and over is valid for five years for the first passport and ten years for subsequent renewals. Passports for children under the age of 16 are valid for five years.

- $230,000 non-refundable contribution to the National Development Fund
- $300,000 approved Antigua and Barbuda real estate investment
- $400,000 joint investment in a business worth $5 million or $1.5 million sole business investment
- $260,000 donation to the University of the West Indies Fund (UWI)
Family members of the main applicant qualify for a passport, with the $230,000 National Development Fund donation covering up to four applicants and the $260,000 donation to the UWI Fund covering families of six or more.

Passport fees
The Antigua and Barbuda immigration process to get a passport takes between three and four weeks. For an adult, the Antigua and Barbuda passport renewal cost is $1,000. For a child under 18, the cost is $500. The total Antigua and Barbuda passport cost, along with additional fees, includes courier, legal, and bank fees. If you obtain an Antigua passport through investment, a passport fee of $300 per passport applies.

Applicants of the Antigua and Barbuda citizenship program must submit their application through an Authorized Agent possessing an Antigua CIP License. The Antigua passport process follows the steps outlined below:
- Choose your investment route.
- Contact an Authorized Agent and complete the necessary forms they provide.
- The Agents will submit your application and required documents to the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU).
- The CIU carries out due diligence checks, including a remote Caribbean citizenship interview.
- After passing the due diligence checks, the CIU will issue an Approval in Principal letter.
- You can make your chosen investment and send proof to the CIU.
- Take the Oath of Allegiance, become a citizen.
- Receive your passport in person at the Passport Office or by post.
A passport of Antigua and Barbuda must be renewed a few months before expiry to avoid delays.
- Complete the Antigua and Barbuda Passport Form L.
