Quality of Life Index
The third index covers six main components relating to the quality of life in the country. Other areas were considered, such as healthcare, education, and personal safety. However, it was felt that these were already covered in the selected indicators (such as in the Sustainable Development Goals) or that there were limited reliable sources for the information. The Quality of Living Index is worth 25% of the overall calculation.
The rationale for these weights is that Sustainable Development combines several aspects relevant to the quality of living. The Cost of Living and level of freedom are considered important aspects of the Global Index Methodology. The final three indicators are given less weight as they are not central to the index, but are still relevant as they carry information not found elsewhere.

About
Norway
In this Norway Investor Immigration Permit guide, learn about:
Norway, located in Northern Europe, occupies the western and northernmost part of the Scandinavian Peninsula, sharing land borders with Sweden, Finland, and Russia and an extensive coastline along the North Atlantic Ocean.
Known for its stunning natural landscapes, Norway encompasses deep fjords, towering mountains, and a rugged coastline punctuated by thousands of islands. It spans an area of about 385,207 square kilometers, making it the 67th largest country in the world.
The Kingdom of Norway is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy, with the King serving as the ceremonial head of state and the Prime Minister holding the position of head of government. The country's legal system is based on civil law influenced by customary law, and it maintains a high standard of democracy, transparency, and human rights.
With a population of approximately 5.4 million people, Norway is one of Europe's most sparsely populated countries. The capital city, Oslo, is the largest city and a hub for Norwegian trade, banking, industry, and shipping. Other major cities include Bergen, Stavanger, and Trondheim. Norway's largest airport, Oslo Airport (Gardermoen), is the principal gateway for international travel to and from the country.
Norway's highly developed economy benefits from abundant natural resources, including oil and gas, hydroelectric power, forests, and minerals. It has a mixed economy with a combination of free market activity and significant government involvement. The Norwegian government operates a sovereign wealth fund, into which the oil and gas industry revenues are deposited, ensuring the country's wealth is invested for future generations. The currency is the Norwegian Krone (NOK).
The standard of living in Norway is among the highest in the world, reflected in its comprehensive welfare system, high levels of income equality, and extensive public services. The cost of living is relatively high, consistent with its high wages and quality of life.
Norway's culture is deeply rooted in its Viking history, natural environment, and folk traditions. Christianity, particularly Lutheranism, is the predominant religion, though Norway has a high degree of secularism with significant freedom of religion.
Tourism in Norway is driven by its natural wonders, including the fjords, the Northern Lights, and the Midnight Sun in the north. Outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and cycling are popular. Cultural attractions include the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo, the historic city of Bergen with its Hanseatic Wharf, and the Arctic Cathedral in Tromsø.
Norway spans two time zones: Central European Time (CET) and Central European Summer Time (CEST) as daylight saving time. Its high latitude results in significant variations in daylight between the summer and winter months, adding to the country's unique natural beauty and appeal as a travel destination.
