Andrés Solimano is a leading economist with a Ph.D. from MIT, specializing in investment migration, globalization, and development. He is the founder and chairman of the International Center for Globalization and Development (CIGLOB) and currently chairs the Governing Board of the Investment Migration Council. His career includes roles as Country Director at the World Bank and Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank, as well as Director of FLACSO-Chile. Dr. Solimano is the author of several influential works that intersect economics and global mobility, including Global Capitalism at Disarray, International Migration in the Age of Crisis and Globalization, and editor of The International Mobility of Talent: Types, Causes and Development Impact.
