Who’s eligible?
Anyone from outside the European Union can apply for citizenship by investment in Cyprus. You must also have a clean criminal record.
Investment options
Government donation
€75,000 to the Cyprus Land Development Corporation. €75,000 to the Research and Innovation Foundation, or an investment to a government-approved innovative enterprise.
Investment in real estate
Of the total investment sum, at least €500,000 must be in the form of a permanent resident for the main applicant. This residency must be kept as long as the applicant holds Cyprus citizenship.
Investment in infrastructure or developments
Residential real estate investments must total €2 million (including €500,000 purchase of permanent residence). Commercial investments must total €2 million (not including €500,000 purchase of permanent residence).
Investment in business
At least €2 million in a business or company based in Cyprus, with at least 5 Cypriot employees.
Investment in financial assets or investment bonds
At least €2 million in investment funds approved by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange commission.
Investment combining both business/financial assets or bonds
Investments must come to the total value of €2 million (not including the purchase of €500,000 permanent residence).
