The Cyprus Permanent Residence by Investment programme (Regulation 6.2) offers a flexible fast-track route to lifelong EU residency in as little as two to six months. To qualify, non-EU nationals must invest a minimum of EUR 300,000 (plus VAT) into eligible assets — most commonly a brand-new residential property from a developer, though commercial real estate, local company shares or Cypriot investment funds also qualify. Additionally, the main applicant must demonstrate a secured, clean annual income of at least EUR 50,000 originating entirely from outside Cyprus, which increases by EUR 15,000 for a spouse and EUR 10,000 per dependent child. The programme does not permit local employment and requires holders to maintain their qualifying investment, submit clean criminal-record checks every three years, and visit the island at least once every two years to keep their status active.
