2026 Global Citizenship Programs Report: St. Lucia

Share this post:

Introduction

St. Lucia is a volcanic island nation in the Eastern Caribbean known for its iconic twin Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The country launched its CBI programme in 2016, making it the most recent entrant among the five OECS CBI jurisdictions. St. Lucia offers the widest variety of investment options among Caribbean programmes, including contributions to the National Economic Fund, real estate purchases, enterprise projects, and government bonds. The economy is driven by tourism, agriculture (particularly banana exports), and a growing services sector. While the programme’s processing time is longer than its Caribbean peers at 12–15 months, it provides competitive visa-free access to 142 countries and territories through its Commonwealth membership and bilateral agreements.
